Currently, this is one of the fastest connections to the internet, however, they don't tell you that just because they are on a fast connection it doesn't mean that your site will be faster. Web hosting providers normally limit the amount of bandwidth each server utilizes. The OC-192 does show the financial stability the company has to lease such a fast fiber-optic connection.


Control Panel

Jumpline uses Sphera control panel which is the same hosting administration panel as IBM. This is the best looking control panel we have seen. The control panel also includes all of the basic features such as e-mail addition and billing as we would expect from any top notch control panel. The control panel is very professionally written.

Customer Service

Jumpline provides toll free tech support for users and they do mean it. When we called their number, we were put on hold for 10 minutes then we were connected instantly to a support technician. He promptly fixed our problem because we forgot to enable a option when we tried publishing a website using FrontPage 2002. Generally their e-mail response time was about a few hours, which were were very impressed.

Setup Time

Jumpline generally was fast for us. From the moment we signed up for an account till the moment we discontinued using it for our testing purposes, Jumpline had consistent performance. Our websites loaded blazingly fast and e-mail was sent and received normally within seconds. Besides that, Jumpline never was slow for us even during peak hours of the day unlike other web hosting companies.

Jumpline was consistently quite reliable for us. Our site has been down several times only for a brief minute or two during our two months with Jumpline. We didn't have to call, because they normally fixed the problem promptly. Our e-mails also arrived promptly and it was always working.

If you are on a budget, for $5 per month Dot5 web hosting offers superior value. They offer plenty of features which will be more than suitable for your website.
