Startlogic is our secondary choice for your web host Its no wonder, since they are a super seller of Ipowerweb, but don't be fooled just because they are a reseller. They offer more than Ipowerweb, but at a lower cost. For $4.95 per month for the Prologic plan, you get 250 GB of bandwidth and 15 GB of disk space. By far, this is the best value in web hosting. Just because they are a reseller does not mean you will receive degraded web hosting. The infrastructure is still powered and control panel is powered by IPowerweb, just the staffs are different.

Control Panel

They use the Vdeck control panel which was custom designed by IPowerweb. The control panel is very sleek and very stable compared to the control panels designed by many non-web hosting companies. Because IPowerweb is a web hosting company itself, they are one of the very few companies who have decided to create their own control panel rather than use a third-party solution such as CPanel, Hsphere or Ensim.

Vdeck is also the easiest and most versatile control panel we have ever used. This control panel basically allows you to manage every aspect of the website and comes complete with easy-to-follow tutorials, a web builder tool for Startlogic customers.

Customer Service

Startlogic provides customer support via phone and chat twenty four hours a day and 365 days year meaning they are even open during Christmas and New Years. Most web hosting companies close, but they open. They provide Email Support, Live Chat and Toll-Free Support. When we emailed support with our test account, we received a response within thirty minutes. The quality of the responses were able average compared to other web hosts. Even with our complex questions, the online chat staffs were able to assist. Our complex technical support questions were usually escalated to a higher level technician, but they were still responded in a timely manner within an hour.

Setup Time

Once we purchased our Startlogic account, our account was setup immediately. We received an email confirmation with our user name and password once

Pitfalls

Sometimes it takes a little while before we got a response from their instant support. They also do not provide comprehensive documentation to assist new users with their web hosting account so everything you need you would need to contact them. But other than that, they have a superior friendliness and uptime was outstanding.

Strengths

Since Startlogic is a super reseller of IPowerweb, many of their strengths can be contributed to IPowerweb's super infrastructure. But Startlogic have a few strengths of their own. Their pricing is cheap for web hosting. $7.50 for 60 GB of traffic and 2 GB of space. Their customer service was also very knowledgeable and responsive to our needs.

Our Opinion

Startlogic is definitely a web host to consider when you are looking for lots of bandwidth and space at a affordable price. Their customer service and plan offerings cannot be beat.
